The institution develops strategies to take account of the increasing mobility of workers between countries to ensure the correct contributions are being paid by and collected on behalf of these workers.

These include:

• Posted workers – employees who are sent by their employer to carry out a service in another jurisdiction on a temporary basis;
• Cross-border workers – who live in one country but commute to work in a neighbouring country.
