The Executive Master’s in Public Performance Management and International Social Security is a new programme that focuses on building leadership and management capacity in social security institutions as well as technical capacity in advanced areas of social security management.
It forms part of ISSA’s programme for the 2023–2025 triennium. The programme offers members an opportunity to strengthen human resources and competences through different types of training: webinars, workshops and seminars, as well as diploma training courses, culminating with the above-mentioned master’s degree.
The academic contributions provided will help students tackle the most relevant issues. Using specific public affairs analysis grids, they will learn to use effective methods and tools, enabling them to understand the issues involved and act in a precise and decisive fashion. In addition to the knowledge and the tools they will learn, these will be immediately applicable in the field. Students will benefit from innovative and participative teaching methods based on concrete case studies, role-playing exercises from their professional environment, and decision-making exercises in complex situations.
The Executive Master was designed by Sciences Po Bordeaux, France, whose international research departments primarily focus on French-speaking countries, particularly in Africa. It was developed in partnership with ISSA and Forhom, the training centre of Egis Conseil. Forhom provides training for African managerial staff at Bordeaux and La Rochelle. It is accredited for four certification courses (public procurement, public procurement litigation, project monitoring and evaluation, and performance management) and for internal training with various African institutions (in Côte d’Ivoire and Rwanda).
