Information and Communication Technology - Guideline 91. Electronic health record system
The institution has an electronic health record (EHR) system that provides to authorized users secure patient records and information in real time. The EHR system complies with the relevant national policies and legal framework, is well-integrated with other health information systems including the national EHR system, and with the social security information system.
The EHR is a longitudinal electronic record of patient health information generated by one or more encounters in any care delivery setting. Included in this information are patient demographics, progress notes, problems, medications, vital signs, past medical history, immunizations, laboratory data, diagnoses and treatment, medications, allergies as well as radiology images and laboratory results.
