In March 2020, the coronavirus pandemic broke out in Israel.

What began as a health crisis soon turned into an economic crisis, which led many workers to go on forced unpaid leave and went to the National Insurance Institute (NII) for assistance. There was a need to find creative solutions within the limits of the law and the data available to the NII, and to find workable and quick solutions that would allow the payment of unemployment benefits to unpaid workers.

#ICanAdult was an Instagram campaign by the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board, Ministry of Manpower. It aimed to encourage millennials to start thinking and planning for their future with CPF forming an integral part of it.

StartSAFE is a programme designed to help small and medium enterprises (SME) identify workplace safety and health (WSH) hazards at their workplaces and recommend solutions for implementation at an affordable cost. Since November 2016, the WSH consultancy with eight consultants appointed by the WSH Council, a statutory body under the Ministry of Manpower, had visited 1,000 SME business owners in the hospitality and entertainment, retail and food services. Through the programme, nearly 60 per cent of a total of 5,445 hazards were rectified immediately.

Our CPF Retirement Planning Service (CRPS) broke new ground by breaking away from our traditional service delivery model. CRPS is a personalised service to engage Singaporeans on retirement matters impacting them when they reach age fifty-five and sixty-five. This service can be accessed easily either in person or digitally.

The "WorkRight" initiative is a national employment rights protection campaign which aims to uplift low-wage Singaporeans by ensuring good employment standards and retirement adequacy.

To achieve these outcomes, the "WorkRight" initiative raises workers' awareness of their employment rights, ensures employers fulfill their obligations under Singapore's employment laws, and targets improving compliance levels in low-wage sectors (retail, food and beverage, cleaning and security services).
