The Workers Compensation Fund Control Board is a social security scheme established under Act No. 10 of 1999 of the Laws of Zambia to provide compensation to workers in the event of injuries, diseases and death resulting from occupational accidents and diseases. The Board also provides rehabilitation services to injured workers and promotes occupational health and safety initiatives to reduce accidents and diseases at places of work. The Board has adopted the Vision Zero campaign from the International Social Security Association to promote health, safety and wellness programmes in Zambia. As a result of this initiative Zambia will host the Vision Zero Africa Conference in Livingstone in 2023. Livingstone is tourist capital of Zambia and is home to one of the 7 wonders of the world... the mighty Victoria falls.
