Cultural diversity is a reality in most workplaces today, and a multicultural workforce represents both opportunities and challenges when it comes to occupational safety and health (OSH).
The scope of the opportunities and challenges depends on the people’s backgrounds. Freedom of movement and promising career perspectives but also conflict, expulsion and natural disasters are factors that cause migration across national borders.
For employers that are desperately looking for workers, immigration may be a great opportunity. But what factors need to be taken into account when it comes to integrating new employees with a migration background into existing structures and cultures? What does safe and healthy collaboration look like in a culturally diverse workplace?
Register for this fifth webinar in the "Let's talk about OSH" series organized by the ISSA Special Commission on Prevention, which will look at safety and health perspectives when managing a multicultural team.
