Near misses (i.e. incidents that did not result in injury, harm or damage to persons or property but had the potential to) help companies identify shortcomings in their operations and provide valuable insights for the prevention of accidents before something serious has happened. Effective near miss reporting can be the basis for improving overall health and safety performance while enhancing a positive safety culture throughout the company.

With this webinar, the ISSA Special Commission on Prevention kicks off its new series on occupational safety and health (OSH). The first webinar focuses on near misses at the workplace, not only because of a new guidance document on the topic by the International Section of the ISSA for Electricity, Gas and Water, but also because it is an increasingly important topic in the management of safety and health at work. After a brief theoretical introduction, two OSH experts will give insights into their experience with near misses.

Register for this "Let's talk about OSH" webinar, first in a new series of webinars organized by the ISSA Special Commission on Prevention, and this time in cooperation with the International Sections of the ISSA for Electricity, Gas and Water, and on Prevention in Transportation.
