Head of Communications

The position is located in the Member Services and Promotion (MSP) Branch of the International Social Security Association (ISSA). The MSP Branch is the area within ISSA responsible for communications, publications, member engagement and events.

Under the direction of the Director of MSP the Head of Communications is responsible for the Promotions Unit, which is tasked with the delivery of communications, publications and the website of the ISSA.  The key role of the Unit is to strengthen ISSA’s capacity to be ‘member-centric’ in its outreach, building its communications with members and key stakeholders, as well as the media to promote social security and excellence in social security administration. The position collaborates widely across the whole of the ISSA organization.  

The position reports to the Director of Member Services and Promotion branch, and has direct management functions over the Promotion Unit of the MSP branch. The position supports the Director in the overall management of the Branch and replaces the Director if absent, including on the senior management team of the ISSA.

The position, based in Geneva, is a renewable fix-term contract at the P5 level in the UN System.
