The International Section of the ISSA on Prevention in the Mining Industry consists of members engaged in occupational safety and health concerning quarrying, coal mining and tunneling operations. Private companies, public organizations, research institutes and experts on safety and health as well as occupational physicians all over the world belong to our section.
They profit from the international exchange on safety and health issues in the mining and quarrying branch and help to improve safety and health in co-operation with other experts.
Safety concerns us all! Be a member of the Section on Prevention in the Mining Industry, get involved in a unique international forum for safety and health in mining, participate in our events and profit from reduced participation fees for conferences!
Types of Membership
The Section on Prevention in the Mining Industry offers two membership categories:
Ordinary members (enterprises and institutions)
- all organizations (enterprises, suppliers, universities, researchers, associations and all other stakeholders of the mining industry) whose objectives are consistent with those of the Section on Prevention in the Mining Industry;
- affiliate and associate members of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and institutions forming part of a federation of institutions, government departments, agencies or other entities being an affiliate or associate member of the ISSA.
Members of the ISSA will not pay any contributions to the Section on Prevention in the Mining Industry.

Corresponding members (individuals)
- Personal membership for experts in occupational safety and health protection in the mining industry.
Annual subscription 100 CHF
