Section on Education and Training for Prevention

Membership

The Section brings together institutions and individuals who are engaged in the promotion of Education and Training in occupational health and safety and of occupational risks prevention in firms, schools and universities.

As a member of the International Section of the ISSA on Education and Training for Prevention, you will benefit from numerous advantages:

  • International symposia and seminars to promote exchanges of information and experience;
  • International expert working groups on such questions as: educating young people in prevention, training of prevention specialists, training decision-makers for prevention, vocational training;
  • An international network of correspondents working on problems related to educational and training for the prevention of accidents;
  • Publications based on the working groups' deliberations.

The Section has members from countries in Europe, the Americas and Africa: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Senegal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, United States, United Kingdom.

Are you interested in our activities? Do you wish to become a member?

The section welcomes organisations who are:

  • members or supporters of ISSA
  • actively promoting Vision Zero within occupational safety and health and occupational risk prevention, in organisations, schools and universities
  • able to demonstrate a minimum 2 years experience of the promotion of Vision Zero through Education and Training.

To apply to join the section, please address a formless application to the Secretariat of the Section on Education and Training for Prevention by email detailing:

  • Your organisation name, location and contact details
  • Your status and engagement as a member or supporter of ISSA (max 150 words)
  • Your activities in promoting Vision Zero within OSH and Occupational Risk prevention, in organisations, schools and universities (max 150 words)
  •  Your experience of the promotion of Vision Zero through Education and Training (max 150 words)

The Bureau will consider your candidature and the secretariat will inform you of its decision.  The decision of the bureau will be final.

Membership of the section is generally free from contributions.
