In pursuing its global mandate to promote and develop social security throughout the world through international collaboration, the International Social Security Association (ISSA) is supporting the advancement of the social and economic conditions of the population and peace on the basis of social justice. The ISSA is therefore deeply concerned by the suffering and loss of life in Ukraine and supports global efforts towards an end to armed conflict and a peaceful resolution.
The social and economic impact of the crisis has created an immediate and important need for social security by refugees across the European region. Many ISSA member institutions have been working tirelessly to respond to this need. In line with its mandate, the ISSA is consulting with concerned member institutions on how the Association can support them through knowledge, opportunities to exchange and the facilitation of bilateral and multilateral assistance.
