The International Social Security Association (ISSA) is inviting its 56 members from Asia and the Pacific to participate in the competition for the Good Practice Award for the region. The award and certificates of merit will be among the highpoints at the Regional Social Security Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2–4 October 2018.
The ISSA Good Practice Award has become a huge success since its launch a decade ago. Once every three years, the award appreciates the achievements of ISSA member organizations in each region of ISSA membership: Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe. Since 2008, social security organizations across the world have contributed nearly 700 good practices.
This time, the ISSA is gearing up to celebrate the success and advances of its members in the Asia and the Pacific region. “I encourage all ISSA member organizations in Asia and the Pacific to participate in this unique opportunity to present and share their excellence in social security administration”, says ISSA Secretary General Hans-Horst Konkolewsky.
While the best entry will receive the Good Practice Award for the region, all successful entries will be profiled and be part of the Good Practices in Social Security Database. This is valuable source for ideas, inspiration and solutions for ISSA members. The good practices are also referenced to the various ISSA Guidelines on social security administration.
The participation in the competition is also an opportunity to influence the programme for, and the issues to be discussed at, the Regional Social Security Forum to be held in Kuala Lumpur in October.
