Continuity and Resilience of Social Security Services and Systems - Guideline 8. Surge capacity
The institution develops “surge capacity”, which refers to the ability to obtain adequate staff, supplies and equipment to provide sufficient support to meet the immediate needs of an influx of clients following an incident or a crisis. Social security institutions should build and maintain this capacity.
