Implementation of free virtual legal advice services for teachers in Peru

Since 2021, Peru’s Derrama Magisterial (DM) has been implementing a virtual legal advice service for teachers working in educational institutions nationwide, designed to be provided free of charge.

This project focused mainly on addressing the legal needs of our service users (teachers), as well as providing guidance and defending their labour rights, mainly in cases in which the Peruvian State has not settled benefits with the National Teaching Profession as part of the outstanding social debt. It was developed as part of our institutional strategy. This is in line with efforts to digitally transform our processes, especially those related to user services and the need to improve the institutional relationship with teachers.
