Platforms for exchanging data with administrations sharing the same goals

Implementation year
2020

With a view to bolstering the mechanisms used to collect social security contributions while effectively combating evasion and fraud, platforms were set up for the exchange of data between Cameroon’s National Social Insurance Fund (Caisse nationale de prévoyance sociale – CNPS) and a number of other administrations.

Stakeholders with whom these platforms were established include:

  • Ministerial departments: Health, secondary education, higher education, transport, small and medium enterprises, etc.
  • Public institutions: Tax authorities, regulators, special inter-municipal equipment and intervention funds, business creation centres, etc.
  • Associations: United Councils and Cities of Cameroon, trade unions, social secretariats, etc.

Through this process, the CNPS discovered a number of workers and employers not yet in its database.
