Online information sharing among organizations to provide “3-less” service and return hidden rights

Implementation year
2020

By linking and connecting family relations registration data and account information that are essential in claiming national pension payments, we provide a contactless, paperless, and wait-less, or the so-called “3-less” service in pension payments, thereby removing the inconvenience of having to visit the National Pension Service (NPS) of the Republic of Korea or relevant organizations and reducing the risk of contact in the era of COVID-19.

By connecting the data of the Supreme Court and the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute (KFTC), the NPS made pension claims possible without having to submit required documents. It has prevented potential delays in pension payments by allowing the public to access information in a timely manner and significantly enhanced convenience for citizens by informing them of “hidden” pension claim rights they did not know.
