Systems integration with government entities

The Civil Service Employees Pension Fund (CSEPF) of Oman decided to upgrade and enhance its core pension information system (PIS) to integrate and connect with systems of other government entities. The main issues addressed by this integration are:

  • Amounts disbursed unlawfully because of missing information like death date.
  • Duplicate pensioners’ records because of wrong or old civil numbers.
  • Duplicate amounts disbursed by CSEPF and other Funds in Oman.

This project is implemented across all government entities based on an iterative and incremental life cycle that includes requirements gathering, design, testing and then go-live.

Integration and connection have been done with six entities, namely, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Ministry of Civil Service (MOCS) for contributions collection; National Register Status (NRS) for pensioners and contributors civil information; Public Authority Social Insurance (PASI) for inter funds functions; Ministry of Man Power (MOMP) and Ministry of Social Development (MOSD) for information sharing.
