Two years after its first IPEF held in 2021, IPEF has emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic with newfound vigour. Scheduled to take place in physical for the very first time at the world-renowned Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the line-up for the three-day event is better than ever, with 20+ human capital development experts from Malaysia and abroad set to share their insights on workforce and socioeconomic development with a vibrant crowd of 1,500+ policymakers, entrepreneurs, business executives, youth leaders, and labour market researchers.

In response to unprecedented turbulence in the global economy, which has been shaken by not just the COVID-19 pandemic but also climate disasters, bank collapses, and the eastern Europe conflict, IPEF 2023 is laser-focused on building an agile workforce capable of nimbly adapting to any challenges that may arise. This aspiration is reflected in this year's theme - namely, 'Building a Resilient Workforce: The MADANI Approach', which draws inspiration from Prime Minister YAB Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim's MADANI values of kemampanan (sustainability), kesejahteraan (harmony), daya cipta (innovation), hormat (respect), keyakinan (confidence), and ihsan (compassion) to urge all labour market stakeholders to work towards inclusive, sustainable economic growth.

Multiple aspects of workforce and socioeconomic development will be addressed at length over the event, which opens with broad presentations from top MNC executives and high-ranking policymakers before moving on to more specific topics such as strengthening TVET, supporting SMEs, enhancing ESG compliance, and empowering marginalised groups.
