The merger of social security organizations can be motivated by different objectives, such as leveraging economies of scale under one administrative body, simplifying administrative procedures for participants for both benefits and obligations, improving cohesiveness between social security institutions and programmes, and other broader policy objectives.
However, mergers can be very complex and require significant engagement with the institutions' stakeholders to create a common language and capitalize the proposed objectives and advantages of the merger of social security institutions.
The challenges require proactive change management actions ranging from managing human resources, establishing active internal communication campaigns, adopting and/or combining processes, and establishing the rules and process and data flow the different programmes will have to abide by, among many other strategies.
This webinar will provide an opportunity to gain insight from institutions that have tackled the merger of institutions. It will provide insights into the approaches to change management in the merger that address these key challenges, helping to ensure a smooth transition and realize the intended benefits of the organizational merger.
Join us for this ISSA Webinar that will discuss experiences from institutions that have engaged in change management in the merger of social security organizations.
