In the Americas, diverse long-term care (LTC) services reflect varying regional needs and capabilities. To tackle LTC challenges effectively, governments must understand and categorize the needs, define and strengthen policies, and coordinate national and international efforts.
As part of the International Social Security Association’s (ISSA) project on LTC, this webinar will discuss how some countries in the Americas organize and address the rising LTC needs, and how they provide health and social care services to their ageing populations. It will offer an overview of the challenges and opportunities within the region, and feature presentations from ISSA members that delve into their roles, mandates, strengths, and weaknesses.
Join us for this ISSA webinar on LTC, as part of the series of webinars on various aspects on this major challenge related to ISSA’s triennial topical priority on ageing societies.
