Holistic rehabilitation programmes seamlessly integrate care, return-to-work initiatives, social support and sports activities to effectively address health challenges. Sport is increasingly recognized as a powerful tool for social inclusion and patient reintegration.
In the realm of rehabilitation and disability insurance, the integration of sports activities has revolutionized the approach to rehabilitating individuals with work-related polytrauma and occupational diseases. Participants, after medical rehabilitation, are paired with a coach who tailors sporting activities to their specific health needs, enhancing physical health and fostering social integration.
This ISSA Webinar will underscore the importance of sporting activities within the framework of disability insurance and highlight the crucial role played by social security systems in facilitating rehabilitation and inclusion through sports. These systems offer support, advocate for inclusive policies and raise awareness of the benefits of sports participation for individuals with disabilities.
Join us for this ISSA Webinar, the 11th in a series organized in collaboration with the ISSA Working Group on Rehabilitation, addressing various aspects of this major challenge related to the ISSA’s four triennial topical priorities.
