Employment is the best form of income security, and low unemployment rates translate into social security contributions and government taxes that ensure the long-term sustainability of the social security system. At the same time, the promotion of employment for various vulnerable groups remains a daunting challenge for many governments and social security institutions in a rapidly changing social and economic environment.

The ISSA Guidelines support member institutions of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) in addressing this challenge, notably through informed strategic choices in the design and delivery of programmes and services intended to help people access employment, remain employed and improve their employability.

Join this ISSA webinar that will provide an overview of the revised ISSA Guidelines on Promotion of Sustainable Employment and showcase national experiences in promoting the employment of disadvantaged groups.

Georges Carlens Georges Carlens, former President of the ISSA Technical Commission on Employment Policies and Unemployment Insurance, and former Director General of the National Employment Office (ONEM), Belgium
