Health and Safety at Construction Sites

Best Practice Examples during the COVID-19 Situation

The COVID-19 situation has required all companies and workers at construction sites to establish working procedures that can help minimize infection risks.

In addition to the basic rules that apply in all countries – such as keeping distance, wearing of mouth-nose coverings, strict hygiene measures – further technical and organizational measures are being applied.

The following documents collate some examples of what can be done to improve health and safety at construction sites in relation to the following four aspects:

  • organization,
  • sanitary facilities and hygiene measures,
  • material handling,
  • respiratory protection.

The examples can be regarded as best practice examples, but their application must be in accordance with national rules.

The documents will be continuously updated.
