Ensuring sustainable and adequate social security

Data and key indicators

The diverse countries of Europe have pioneered comprehensive social security systems, and face common challenges of ensuring sustainable and adequate coverage for all. Trends witness the recalibration of complex national systems as a means to realize adequacy across social security branches. Increasingly, this objective is supported by modern administrative practices and ICT platforms offering powerful data analytics and tools, and realized by citizen-centric services that aim to meet people's needs across the life course.
