Technical seminar on innovations to address sustainability challenges arising from chronic conditions and demographic aging
A Technical Seminar on innovations to address sustainability challenges arising from chronic conditions and demographic aging will take place in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 18 to 19 October 2017. This seminar is organized by the ISSA Liaison Office for East Asia and hosted by the National Health Insurance Service of the Republic of Korea.
Objective of the Technical Seminar
Focused on innovation in health insurance, participation of representatives from a wide range of social security institutions will encourage a rich and varied exchange of views and experiences on the topical themes.
The programme of the Technical Seminar will cover the following areas:
- Wednesday, 18 October 2017
Theme 1: Financial sustainability and cost containment – Innovative approaches;
Theme 2: Management of chronic diseases;
- Thursday, 19 October 2017
Theme 3: Financial sustainability of long term care for older persons.
Participants are responsible for their own visa and vaccination requirements.
All visitors to the Republic of Korea must hold a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date they are entering the country.

The Technical Seminar is open to ISSA member organizations from the Asia and the Pacific region and invited participants only. The working language is English.
