ISSA Guidelines for Social Security Administration

Share your opinion: 2nd phase consultation on ISSA Guidelines

The revision and production of ISSA Guidelines has now reached its second consultation phase. ISSA members are asked to contribute to the consultations.

The first phase of the production and revision process to which ISSA members actively contributed was completed in September 2018. Subsequently, competent ISSA Technical Commissions gave comments to the draft Guidelines through dedicated meetings and discussions in different languages. In addition, comments were received from conference participants in various venues and input was given by external national organizations.

Second drafts of the Guidelines, which take into account all the relevant comments, were then produced by the ISSA General Secretariat in collaboration with external experts. The ISSA is now seeking comments from its wider membership, external stakeholders and international organizations. These broad consultations guarantee the relevance of the ISSA Guidelines to the needs of members and the high technical quality of their content.

The final drafts of the revised Guidelines will be submitted for approval by the responsible Chairs of the ISSA Technical Commissions with the overall process supervised by the ISSA Bureau Committee on Guidelines. The new Guidelines will be presented to the ISSA membership at the World Social Security Forum in October 2019.

Due to the complex drafting and editorial process, the consultation phase on the new ISSA Guidelines will take place in English only. Comments may be provided in any of the four working languages of the ISSA (English, French, Spanish or German). The final versions of all Guidelines will be made available in all the working languages of the ISSA.
