In view of the rising prevalence of chronic conditions, the agenda will address issues related to chronic disease prevention and early detection as well as to providing cost-effective and quality care for chronic conditions.
The Technical Seminar will provide a unique occasion to exchange on good practices and innovations regarding:
- Health promotion: what role for social security health-care schemes.
- Health check-ups: what factors determine utilization and effectiveness.
- Chronic disease care models and chronic disease management.
In addition to these agenda items, the Technical Seminar will feature the presentation and discussion of the results of a comparative eight-country study undertaken by the Technical Commission on Medical Care and Sickness Insurance on measures to adapt health-care systems to trends in chronic disease.
The event is open to ISSA members and on invitation only. The working languages of the Seminar will be English and French.
