Social security institutions confront pressing demands: implementing schemes amidst demographic and financial challenges, boosting service quality and efficiency via digitalisation, reinforcing resilience and responsiveness, and meeting heightened expectations for accountability, transparency, predictability, participation, and agility within constrained environments. Navigating this complex landscape requires solid and effective governance.

The ISSA Guidelines on Good Governance provide social security institutions with clear orientations to address these challenges and implement approaches funded on good practices to govern and manage social security institutions.

The ISSA Recognition programme aims to support institutions in achieving good governance and adopting a permanent improvement model through an external expert's assessment-based certification of the application of ISSA Guidelines.

This webinar will present the Recognition process and explore the benefits and challenges of certification on the implementation of the ISSA Guidelines on Good Governance. It will feature insights from institutions that underwent Recognition and an external certification expert's perspective.
