Social security mechanisms are essential for optimizing resource allocation in health care systems, operating at national and institutional levels to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of health care provision.

At the national level, social security mechanisms establish frameworks and policies to allocate resources effectively and address diverse health care needs. Through strategic planning, they aim to optimize resource utilization, guaranteeing equal access to health care services, irrespective of socioeconomic status or geographical location.

Meanwhile, at the institutional level, social security mechanisms steer spending priorities, ensure efficient fund allocation, and improve care delivery, enhancing the overall system efficiency.

This webinar will explore budgeting strategies and financing models, highlighting the crucial role of social security funds in health care financing. ISSA members will share their perspectives and insights into their strategies to achieve sustainable health care systems tailored to their institutional and national contexts.

Join us for this ISSA Webinar, organized in collaboration with the ISSA Technical Commission on Medical Care and Sickness Insurance, to delve into the complex process of enhancing health care systems, exploring facets like resource mobilization, budget allocation and financial mechanisms, while underscoring the significant role of social security.
