The ISSA Liaison Office for East Asia will provide services to ISSA member organizations and collaborate with social security institutions in the Republic of Korea, the People's Republic of China, Japan and Mongolia.

The Liaison Office for East Asia will be hosted by the National Health Insurance Corporation, and is the latest in a series of new regional structures to be established as part of the ISSA strategy to strengthen outreach to its member organizations at the sub-regional level. The Liaison Office will be inaugurated by high-level representatives from the Republic of Korea and other countries.

A Technical Seminar on Administrative and Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness for ISSA members in the East Asia and Pacific regions will take place on 6 October.
