Social security pension reform in Argentina

In an exclusive interview for the ISSA Web portal, Carlos Tomada, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security of Argentina, outlines the impact of the global financial crisis on social security in his country, and explains his government's recent decision to eliminate the individual accounts pension scheme.

Mr. Tomada was appointed Minister in 2003, and served as Chairman of the ILO's Governing Body during the 2005-2006 Session. The interview was given in Spanish on 18 November 2008.
