The General Assembly is the supreme body of the CISS and it is made up by its full, associate, adherent and related members, adding up to 78 members. Its main responsibilities include establishing the necessary the policies and rules to fulfill the CISS purposes, issuing statements and recommendations on social security, and electing the CISS authorities.
Every year, the CISS organizes an annual meeting in order to present The Americas Social Security Report and celebrate the technical meetings of the American Social Security Commissions (CASS) and Sub-Regions and that integrate the Conference.
This year, the XXVI General Assembly - Annual Meeting 2010 will take place from 20-23 September in Panama City, Panama, thanks to the hospitality of Caja del Seguro Social de Panamá (CSS).
