Soziale Sicherheit weltweit fördern und entwickeln.
Fokus: Internationale Strategien zur Ausweitung der Deckung durch die soziale Sicherheit

Auf Untersuchungen beruhende Schätzungen gehen davon aus, dass 70 bis 80 Prozent der Weltbevölkerung in einem Zustand „sozialer Unsicherheit“ lebt. Der Beitrag von Systemen der sozialen Sicherheit zu sozialer Stabilität und zur Verringerung der Armut wird jedoch zunehmend anerkannt. Ergeizige neue Initiativen der IVSS und der UNO/Internationalen Arbeitsorganisation zielen auf eine Ausweitung der Deckung durch die soziale Sicherheit, was aber bessere Governance, Finanzierung und Verwaltung der Programme der sozialen Sicherheit bedingt.
