A message by ISSA Mining’s new Vice President

First I would like to send my warmest greetings to the ISSA Mining community. I am very honored and proud of being selected as Vice president of ISSA-Mining in the recent term.

As you know, mining activity, which creates more jobs and contributs in no small part to the development of nations, has been increasingly strong. However, mineral exploitation is a high-risk occupation that causes occupational accidents and occupational diseases. With my personal experience, in the position as labor manager, insurance services at one of the resource-rich provinces of Vietnam and the director of all management activities on labor safety, labor inspection of Vietnam and particularly in the mining industry, I confirm that Social Security represents the basic human right and is a tool for building a harmonious society and civilization without exclusion. Social security development on the basic principles is to ensure solidarity, mutual assistance and sharing community for the risks in life, business, labor and thus to promote the consensus, equality and social justice. In addition, the Social Security system through the positive impact of health policy, safety and OSH services that will improve labor productivity, support transformation towards modern production, and contribute to overall economic development process in general.

The International Section on Prevention in the Mining Industry within the International Social Security Association (ISSA Mining) is the organization to promote and improve social security in the mining industry through comprehensive cooperation in all fields, especially in the field of risk prevention throughout the world. In Vietnam, as well as in the countries of the third world in the process of development, the mining industry is in the focus of investment and booming. However, if the social security system has not developed, if many workers and enterprises are not insured, this leads to social consequences after accidents and incidents. As the Vice President of ISSA Ming, during my term, I will attempt to cooperate with colleagues in order to promote activities in the mining industry of the new industrial countries and the countries of the 3rd world through the methods of the organization to achieve the goals of ISSA Mining and ISSA.

Hopefully in my term, I will be standing side by side with you to complete my responsibilities. Sincerely thank you very much for your assistance!
