International Social Security Week 2011 - Closing Declaration

The main goal of establishing the International Social Security Week as an annual event was to promote y disseminate the knowledge of social security topics throughout the Americas and the Caribbean.

For 2011, in particular, the selected topic was prevention, which was  covered from different social security aspects, such as financing,  health insurance, working risks insurance, protection for older adults,  and education and social security as long-term ingredient for the  promotion of civil participation in social protection systems.
