Extension of coverage
Focus: Stratégies internationales pour une extension de la couverture de sécurité sociale

Des études estiment qu’entre 70 et 80 pour cent de la population mondiale vit dans un état «d’insécurité sociale». On tend cependant de plus en plus à reconnaître la contribution des systèmes de sécurité sociale à la stabilité sociale et à la réduction de la pauvreté. De récentes et ambitieuses initiatives élaborées par l'AISS et les Nations unies/l'OIT ont pour dessein l'extension de la couverture de sécurité sociale. Cet objectif, pour être atteint, implique des améliorations au niveau de la gouvernance, du financement et de l'administration de la sécurité sociale.
