The objective of this Technical Seminar will be to examine various major aspects of this topic. Participants will share their experiences with regard to the challenges encountered by their schemes in attempting to maintain the monetary adequacy of benefits in a context of rising inflation and reduced financial resources.
This Seminar will also be an opportunity to showcase innovative measures introduced with a view to providing members with a better quality of services. Most importantly, it is hoped that the discussion will expand to take into account the wider importance of adequacy and quality in meeting the needs of the covered population and in improving overall client satisfaction. Clearly, a high standard of adequacy and quality of social security benefits and services are key to achieving significant objectives of social security schemes such as improving compliance and contribution collection, increasing coverage and especially developing a more holistic approach to delivering social security.
Taking into account this context, the Technical Seminar will examine the challenges facing social security organizations in South Asia in seeking the best ways forward in providing adequate and qualitative social security benefits and services.
The Technical Seminar is open to ISSA members from the South Asia region and invited persons only.
