In the May/June 2010 issue, Aggregates Business Europe (ABE) reports on Hanson investing 250,000 GBP in high visibility work wear for workers on 350 British sites. ABE states the garments have been chosen with the industry's typical environment in mind.
ISSA Mining encourages all operators to ensure good visibility of all workers on site. Many fatal accidents occur from poor visibility around, for example, quarry trucks.
