Social security and new information technology risks
Security considerations are now more than ever becoming one of the critical concerns of our society. Security is conceived of, developed and implemented in all fields, at all levels. Everyone needs it, as no one is spared current risks.

In the 21st century, the risk society, as described by Olrich Beck in his theory, is changing security practices, in the sense that events with unforseeable consequences are determining future security measures. The new risks are the result of current life styles, the principal characteristic of which is globalization. The interconnection and networking of activities of all types are leading to a globalizing vision of security. It is almost impossible to identify one field of security that is unconnected with others. In the case of social security, it is necessary to draw attention to risks in the field of information technology, which have become inevitable in all sectors, both public and private. Social security is therefore interconnected with information security, as the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is to be found in many areas which require the digital storage and processing of information.
