“Almost there” is produced to educate the workers who are commuting using motorcycles which represent 37% of total accidents in Malaysia every year. The video is focusing on the complexity of human social, psychological and economic impacts due to the accident. The different perspectives of the accident from the close family members, neighbours and friends have been collected to educate the public on the impact of one road accident to everybody connected to the worker or the accident. The video is about educating the worker and the audience on the need to be safe and alert while commuting to work.
Our story begins with the worker named Anwar who’s injured due to the accident while commuting to work with a colleague named Hisham using a motorcycle. Anwar was badly injured while Hisham died due to the accident.
As everybody connected to the victims recount, most of them express their feelings and mistakes which resulted to the accident. The difficult moments for the family and friends are also collected.
The video is trying to express the impact of the road accident on the victims and the related people after the incident occurred. It also shows that a moment of carelessness could bring a life full of regrets to the people.
