36th Ipse Meeting in partnership with Social Economy Europe

Tangible cooperation between different types of not-forprofi t complementary social protection (mutual, cooperative, mutualist, and paritarian institutions…) could be the force needed to make their specifi city, competitiveness, and goal of solidarity recognized in European law.

Such cooperation would provide the opportunity to increase awareness of their assets and effectiveness among their stakeholders. It could also enable these institutions to better respond to the needs of cross-border social coverage. While our agencies are still suffering the effects of the crises, solidarity-based social protection must present a united front so as to continue to intervene in the name of its ideals.

It is time to reflect together on the challenges that personal insurers will encounter in the upcoming years and on concrete measures to foster greater credibility for solidarity-based complementary social protection and thus, better serve the public interest. Finally, what kind of cooperation can be started today between different families of not-for-profit social protection?
