The ISSA Section on Education and Training for Prevention is committed to make every person more aware of risks they are likely to encounter and to enable them to participate in the prevention of accidents.
For the development of a culture of prevention “from school to work”

 Young workers constitute a high risk population with respect to occupational health and safety (OHS). They are exposed to significantly more physical and organizational constraints and sustain more accidents than do older workers.

The Seoul Declaration on occupational health and safety
- encourages continuous measures to create and enhance a culture of prevention;
- recognizes the importance of education and training in prevention and is addressed to employers and workers.

The International Social Security Association’s Section on Education and Training for Prevention has played a leading role in thinking about how to integrate occupational health and safety into teaching, training and entry into the workforce under the theme “from school to work.”

SEUL – La Asociación Internacional de la Seguridad Social (AISS) saludó la Declaración de Seúl sobre Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo adoptada el 29 de junio por unas 50 autoridades provenientes de todo el mundo como un importante nuevo plan para la construcción de una cultura mundial sobre seguridad y salud en el trabajo.

El Comité de la AISS para la Educación y la Formación en Prevención adoptó, en su 4º Seminario realizado en junio de 2009, la Carta de Lisboa, que propone una estrategia de acogida y acompañamiento de los jóvenes trabajadores en materia de salud y seguridad en el trabajo.
