Addressing changes in family structures
In the twentieth century Social Protection – understood as social risk coverage rights and with the main goal of providing citizens with living conditions to make them feel at least as part of a society of fellow citizens1 – underwent great development under the scope of social
security schemes implemented by Welfare States.
