Practical Insight on Disability Management

Around the world, governments and businesses are seeking ways to improve efficiencies while reducing costs. This new scrutiny has created a powerful spotlight on disability management and return to work programmes which have proven successful in addressing injury, illness, and disability in the workplace.

Join government and private sector leaders in the health, safety and workers' compensation communities on September 20-22, 2010, in Los Angeles, California, USA, for the International Forum on Disability Management 2010.

IFDM 2010   provides an inspiring opportunity for professionals in the health, safety, workers' compensation, and disability management communities to advance disability management knowledge and initiatives around the world.

Advancing Awareness and Support for Effective Disability Management Outcomes and Best Practices

Is a societal shift needed to convince employers that engaging individuals with disabilities in the workforce is in their best interest? Dame Carol Black, National Director for Work and Health, United Kingdom and Dr. Susan Daniels, Former Deputy Commissioner of the US Social Security Administration, will reflect on how government can actively lead society to think and act differently toward work, health, and disability. Be inspired and gain practical insight on how to facilitate positive change in your organization.

Measuring Disability Management: Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis

As disability management programs are being implemented by more employers and insurers and encouraged by policymakers, more sophisticated evaluation and measurement systems are needed. Leading researchers will discuss current measures of success and  identify new methods to measure the impact and outcomes of disability management programs. Presenters include Cameron Mustard, Institute for Work & Health; Bob Reville, RAND Corporation; and Lome Sulsky, Memorial University.
