As in previous years, the ISSA is supporting the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on 28 April, which was initiated by the International Labour Organization (ILO) to promote safe, healthy and decent work.


The World Day provides an ideal focus for promoting and creating a prevention culture which saves not only lives and diminishes human suffering but also helps reduce the eventual cost to social security schemes, enterprises and the economy in terms of compensation, health care, disability, rehabilitation, and loss of production.
