Technical Commission on Insurance against Employment Accidents and Occupational Diseases
Summary of findings 2008-2010
Technical Commission on Insurance against Employment Accidents and Occupational Diseases
Economic performance of employees is the engine of every economy. But what if the employees are old and younger workers to replace them are not in sight? What if accidents and ill health slow down economic performance and request social security to provide a tighter safety net for them?

Demography is a topic that has been central to the Technical Commission for Insurance against Employment Accidents and Occupational Diseases throughout the world. It has taken the form of two projects: one, to examine its effects on occupational diseases and two, to look at the re-integration of injured individuals. The purpose of the demography work of the Technical Commission was to learn how the changing demographic landscape is affecting the current state of play of accident insurance systems.
