The dissemination of information plays a crucial role in the improvement of working conditions and the working environment. New technology and especially all visual technology offers practical and effective tools for informing, raising awareness among, and training etc. all kinds of workers.

Nowadays, much effort is put into developing innovative films and videos, CD-ROMs and internet sites. High-quality products exist around the world and experiences can be exchanged in order to improve and promote the use of these kinds of prevention instruments.

For the third time, the ISSA International Prevention Sections "Electricity" and "Information" have combined their efforts and will organise a Film and Multimedia Festival during the XVIIth World Congress on Safety and Health at Work 2005. This festival aims to demonstrate the wide range of methods available for spreading the prevention message.

All the films and multimedia applications being presented during the festival have been brought together in this catalogue. We hope that it will be a useful instrument for all Occupational Safety and Health professionals looking for new information and  training tools.
