Extended period of sickness allowance
The restrictions on the period for which Sickness Allowance (SA) is payable are to be abolished. Currently, SA is cancelled after 52 or 104 weeks' continuous receipt unless certain restrictive criteria regarding the incapacity for work are satisfied.

Compensation for cost-sharing
Compensation is available in cases where a patient's share of a hospital bill exceeds KPW 500,000 over two months. The actual percentage reimbursed depends on the policy of each medical insurance society.
