Security and privacy of data in social security
This report presents concepts and practices on information security and data privacy to be applied in social security institutions.

These results are part of the project “Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as enabler of social security policy and programme integration”, which is being developed by the International Social Security Association’s (ISSA) Technical Commission on Information and Communication Technologies for the triennium 2011-2013. One of the goals of the project is to address the complexities of data security and privacy when integrating data from social programmes with a view to identifying solutions and sharing the lessons learnt. The report is also part of the documentation package to go with the ISSA Guidelines on Information and Communication Technologies – Chapter on Data Security and Privacy.
