e-Learning Distance Learning Methodology SystemThe Mexican Social Security Institute (Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS)) has used the virtual learning platform on a number of occasion but only for isolated information events.
In order to optimize the virtual IT infrastructure, the Coordination of Research into Quality and Quality Assurance has developed an e-Learning Distance Training Methodology System for IMSS Managers, with psycho-pedagogical support that guarantees extensive learning through the didactic sequence of training events and the use of learning channels (visual, auditory, for participating managers, kinaesthetic) to assist managers in their learning. In addition, the Academic Management System makes it possible to manage the administration of training facilitators and provide support to participants. The e-Learning Distance Training Methodology System has changed the culture regarding the use of IT tools for learning and, more importantly, has improved managers’ performance.
